Neven Nicolas Spoljar-Stonehouse

   It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Neven Špoljar-Stonehouse.  He was wrapped in the arms of the angels on July 4, 2022 at the tender age of two.

   Neven was born on June 19, 2020 to proud and loving parents, Wendy Stonehouse and Željko Špoljar.  From the moment he arrived, he was a bright, shining light in everyone’s lives.

   Neven kept his parents on their toes by removing his socks twenty times a day, masterfully avoiding bedtime and enjoying lots of activities with them.  He loved building and demolishing towers, and he loved his cars – the louder and more colorful the better.  Being an energetic little boy, Neven loved playing soccer and goalie with his daddy.  He  would give Daddy sly-eyes to trick him and was so proud every time he did – he would laugh and laugh!  He was also a real fishy who loved water and his bath-time.  Songs and musical instruments always made Neven smile, and he adored story time with Mom and Dad.  He was an incredibly kind and loving boy who was wonderful help tidying up and taking care of his kitties, especially his best friend, Bandit.  Joy is not a treasure you can lose, and Neven brought immeasurable joy into the lives of all who were lucky enough to know him.

   He is survived by his devoted parents, Wendy Stonehouse and Željko Špoljar.  A private service will be held.  Donations will be gratefully accepted by Neven’s family at https://gofund.me/a67274e0.  Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
