It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Madonna Tulk on March 5, 2026. Madonna passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving Family at the Crowsnest Pass Health Care Centre, Blairmore AB, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was 78 years of age.
Madonna was a beautiful, kind-hearted soul who never hesitated to help someone in need. Her home was always open, her table always had room for one more, and her heart was large enough to welcome anyone who needed comfort or support. She was the kind of woman who put others before herself and gave freely without ever expecting anything in return.
Family was the center of Madonna’s life. She took great pride in her role as a mother and grandmother, not only to her own children and grandchildren but to anyone who needed guidance, love, or a place to belong. She was a constant source of strength, wisdom, and compassion for her family, especially to her grandson Shae, who she devoted her life too till her passing. Her presence brought warmth and comfort to all who knew her. Since her husband’s passing in 2023, Madonna enjoyed taking road trips and a trip to Ontario with her daughters visiting her family and friends.
Madonna shared a beautiful life with her husband the love of her life, Gordon Wilson Tulk. Together they built a life filled with adventure, hard work, and deep devotion to one another. Over the years they lived in several places across Canada, including Newfoundland, Ontario, Alberta, and the Yukon, always building a home wherever they went and raising their growing family along the way. Through every move and every chapter, their love and partnership remained constant.
She was happiest when surrounded by family—whether sitting around the dinner table, sharing stories, celebrating milestones, or simply enjoying the presence of those she loved most. Her kindness, patience, and quiet strength made her the heart of the family, and she will forever be remembered for the love she gave so freely.
Madonna was predeceased by her beloved husband Gordon Wilson Tulk; her son Joseph Tulk; her Parents Wallace & Alice Wells; her parents-in-law Clara & Elias Tulk; sisters Kay Clarke, Doreen Langer and Martha Clark; and several other members of the Tulk and Wells families who went before her.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children: Bruce (Colleen) Tulk, Donna (Paul) Manuel, Cindy (Jeff) Coles, Wally Tulk, and Connee (Shawn) Wells.
She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Kayla Abbott, Channon (Jenna) Manuel, Pamela Legere, Shandi (Shaun) Clarke, Kerry Tulk, Ashley Lynn (Justin) Coles, Heidi (Cody) Hunt, Amber (Matthew) Sheppard, Michael (Megan) Tulk, Danielle Coles, Anthony Tulk, Robbie Wells.
Madonna was also blessed with many great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy: Averial, Kaleb and Shae Snow, Knox Tulk; Conner, Austin and Emma Manuel; Chanel and Evalynn Legere; Raeleigh and Willow Clarke; Mason and Amelia Eveleigh; Bria, Kesler and Pierson Hunt; Layla Tulk and Hudson Sheppard; and Harlee and Westlee Tulk.
She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters Hilda (Joe) Tobin, Inez Wells, Alice (Eric) Bridger and Sandra Wells; brother David (Joan) Wells; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Gilbert Tulk, Boyde (Marilyn) Tulk, Ivan (Sheila) Tulk, Barbara (Stan) Hart, Norma Morgan, Maria (Bram) Tulk, Patsy Tulk and Faye (Dan) Roth; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends whose lives she touched.
Madonna’s life was defined by love, generosity, and a deep and abiding faith in God. She was devoted to her church throughout her life and lived each day guided by her Christian values of kindness, compassion, and service to others. She was the heart of her home, the comfort in difficult times, and the quiet strength that held generations together. While she will be deeply missed, her family finds peace in knowing she has gone home to be with Jesus. Her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched and the family she cherished so deeply.
