Lori Verlynn (Collett) Salmon

   Lori Verlynn Salmon (Née: Collett), beloved daughter, mom, grandma, great-grandmom, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, at the age of 61.

   Born on June 23, 1964, Lori was the cherished daughter of Penny and Danny Collett and the beloved sister of Shane. Throughout her life, Lori exemplified strength, unwavering loyalty, and a deep devotion to those she loved. She had a remarkable ability to make those around her feel seen, heard, and cared for.

   Lori’s passions were many. She found joy and peace tending to her flowers and working in her yard. Her love for animals—especially her dogs and horses—was a constant in her life. Lori was also a gifted cook and baker, often expressing her love through homemade meals and sweet treats. She had a talent for knitting, creating pieces that were as warm and comforting as she was.

   Above all, Lori was someone who always put others before herself. She could always be counted on, whether you needed a listening ear, a helping hand, or simply someone to stand by your side. Her devotion to her family and friends was unwavering.  She will be remembered for her kind heart, selfless spirit, warm smile, joyful laugh, and the beauty she brought into the world.  Lori is deeply missed and will be forever loved.

   Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life are her parents, Penny and Danny “Boone” Collett of Lethbridge, AB; her son, Waycee (Kimberly Hancock) Collett of Lethbridge, AB; her daughter, Jamee Collett of Lethbridge, AB; her grandchildren, MacKenzie, Wyatt, Shaye, Chevy and McKenna; her great-grandson, Jace; her brother, Shane (Kerri) Collett of Coleman, AB; her nephews, Tyson (Shelley Dziuba) Collett of Irricana, AB and Cade Collett of Ellis Beach, Australia; her great-nephew, Joe Collett; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  She was predeceased by her daughter, Hayley Lynn Salmon, and her grandparents, Urael and Tillie Jensen and LaVere and Gladys Collett.

   A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, August 8, 2025 at Christensen Salmon Generations Funeral Home (703 - 13 St. N., Lethbridge, AB T1H 2T2).  Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
