Kenneth Stephan Petras

Ken Petras of Coleman, AB passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 15, 2025 at the Crowsnest Pass Health Care Centre, Blairmore, AB.

Ken was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Veronica Petras; his twin brother, Keith in 2015; his brother, Frank in 2022; his brother, Larry in 2023; as well as his nephews, Kip Petras and Ricky Petras; his niece, Sherry Petras; and his great-nephew, Kevin LaPrete.

Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life is his brother, Tom (Eileen) and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario.

Special thanks to Ken’s niece, Charlene Barrett and her daughter, Jodie who cared for and visited Ken at Peaks To Pines Senior Lodge and provided assistance since his stroke and heart attack in 2022.

We would also like to thank the management and staff at Peaks To Pines and the staff at the Crowsnest Pass Health Care Centre.  All who cared for him did so with compassion and dedication.

A Graveside Service will be held in the spring at Fairmont Hot Springs where Ken will be laid to rest with his brother, Keith and Keith’s son, Kip.  Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
