KENNETH ROBERT ABBOTT

August 8, 1978 - July 8, 2023

   It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth Robert Abbott on July 8, 2023 at the Foothills Medical Centre, Calgary, AB.  He was only 44 years of age.

   Ken was a down-to-earth person who didn’t need much to be happy.  He found joy in the simple things and never took what he had for granted.  Ken found time to go fishing whenever he could and also enjoyed cooking.  He had a great interest in history and vintage vehicles, gaining vast knowledge about both over the years. Ken adored his feline friend “Timothy” - they were best pals. Ken was taken from us too soon, but precious memories will remain forever.

   Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life is his mother, Trudy Lewis of Blairmore, AB; his cousins, Len Lewis, Rob Lewis, Cheryl Lewis, Corrine Lewis, Jennifer Hakze and Mark Hakze; as well as many friends.  He was predeceased by his father, Robert Abbott.

   A Funeral Service will be held at Fantin’s Funeral Chapel (13461 - 20 Ave., Blairmore, AB) on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 11:00am.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be gratefully accepted by the Crowsnest Pass Food Bank (PO Box 675 Blairmore, AB T0K 0E0).  Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
