Karen Donna Nickle

   It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karen Donna Nickle of Bellevue, AB on August 23, 2023.  She was 66 years of age.

   Karen was born in High River, AB on December 8, 1956.  As a young girl, her family relocated to the Crowsnest Pass, AB.  Here, she made a good life for herself, going on to raise her own family in the area she loved so much.  Karen was a great cook and talented seamstress and photographer.  In the winter, she enjoyed snowmobiling, and in the summer, she went quadding and horseback riding whenever she could.  She spent many happy hours at Western Adventures Trail Rides and especially loved watching her family compete in gymkhana.  Karen will be deeply missed and forever remember by all her knew her.

   Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life is her husband, John Haluck; her children, Nola (Ethan) Bates and John (Natasha) Haluck Jr.; her grandchildren, Kayla (Lonny), Drake (Jen), Mickayla (Cody), Savannah, Brooklyn, Rylan, Serenity, Gauge and Saige; great-grandchildren, Avery, Beau Grayson and Oakley; her brothers, Esty (Jo-Anne) and Clay (Char); her sister, Laura (Henry); as well as her extended family and many good friends whom she considered family.

   She was predeceased by her parents, Henrietta and Ronald Nickle; her brother, Darcey; and her sister, Diane.

   No funeral service will be held.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be gratefully accepted by the Crowsnest Pass Health Foundation “Greatest Need” (PO Box 455 Blairmore, AB T0K 0E0).  Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
