Irene Elizabeth (Zeith) Hill

   With great sadness we announce that Irene Hill of Coleman, AB passed away on December 12, 2024, four days before her 95th birthday.

   Irene was born in Natal, BC on December 16, 1929 to parents Peter and Elizabeth Zeith.  As a young woman, she met and fell in love with Donald Hill.  The couple married on February 19, 1949 and went on to raise a family of their own and create countless happy memories.

   When Irene wasn’t busy raising her family, working as a waitress, or in later years, at the IGA, she enjoyed shopping.  Her house was filled with the antiques and treasures she found, and she never passed by a garage sale without stopping to have a look.  The only things that rivaled Irene’s love for her family, was her love for animals and for all things Betty Boop.  Irene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and she will be deeply missed.

   Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life are her grandchildren, Harley (Michele Lamoureux) Hill and Sonia Leblanc; her great-grandchildren, Hailey, Brooklyn, Mackenzie, Hunter and Tristen; her daughter-in-law, Brenda Hill; her sisters, Iris Preece and Coreen Grocket; her sisters-in-law, Pearl Zeith and Billie Zeith; her niece, Adrianne; her nephew, Paul; as well as her extended family and many friends.

   She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Hill; her parents, Peter Sr. and Elizabeth Zeith; her son, Butch Hill; her daughter, Melodye Tworowski; her brothers, Peter Jr. and Dennis Zeith; and her sisters, Pearl Myslicki and Bernice Klassen.

   With respect for Irene’s wishes, no funeral service will be held.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be gratefully accepted by the Crowsnest Pass SPCA (PO Box 725 Blairmore, AB T0K 0E0).  Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
