With incredible sadness we announce the passing of Harold Louis Luini of Lundbreck, AB on May 31, 2026. He was 76 years of age.
Harold was born on October 13, 1949, to parents Guiseppe “Joseph” and Genevieve Luini. Along with his siblings, he was raised in Hillcrest Mines, AB where he learned to appreciate family and community. After attending SAIT, Harold had a long career with AGT/Telus. Upon retirement, he returned to the Crowsnest Pass, AB before settling in Lundbreck, AB.
Gowing up, Harold was involved with the local Cadets and attended Cadet Camp in Vernon, BC. A true “Pass Boy”, he enjoyed all that the great outdoors had to offer, including fishing, hunting, checking the trapline with his brother, Brian, and he won awards for his sharp shooting. Harold had a passion for gunsmithing, and he passed this on to his son, Corey. He was also a very creative, artistic, meticulous person, and someone who could fix almost anything. Harold was quite the character and enjoyed stirring things up, but more than anything, he loved his family. He will be deeply missed but will live on in precious memories.
Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life is his son, Corey Gerber and his family; his daughter, Melissa Luini; his brother, Charles (Leona) Luini; his sister, Peggy (Pat) Pow; his nephews, Garry (Whitney) Luini, Robin Luini and Scott (Ashley) Pow; his niece, Lindsey (Jason) Dorusak; his great-nephews and great-niece; and his friend, Elaine.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Genevieve Luini; his stepfather, David Welsh; his son, Joseph Luini; and his brothers, Garry Luini and Brian (Cindy) Luini.
With respect for Harold’s wishes, no services will be held. Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
