GUNTHER KOCI

(July 24, 1970-August 9, 2023)

It is with great sadness and dismay that we announce the sudden passing of Gunther Koci  who succumbed to massive heart failure on August 9, 2023. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Family and friends will always remember him for his compassion, crazy spirit, sense of adventure, generosity, diligent work ethic and willingness to help others. He had a gift for identifying the humorous and bright side of life, entertaining us with his adventures, projects and travels, and just too many other fine qualities to try and list. We will all remember the time…..

Thank you to everyone that reached out to give their condolences and support. It meant so much to hear from others that Gunther was a good man, loving, caring, kind, hilariously funny, and that he will be missed.

He had a big heart - his biggest quality and his biggest weakness, until it stopped too soon.

Gunther was a modest man who never wanted a lot of commotion or attention.  A simple private family service will be held.  As he often said, “When you are dead, you don’t know you are dead.  All the pain is felt by others… It is the same thing when you are stupid.”
