Gerald "Jerry" Alfred Wilson

   It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald “Jerry” Alfred Wilson of Lethbridge, AB on September 25, 2021.  He was 72 years of age.

   Jerry was born in Cardston, AB on February 9, 1949 to proud parents, Thomas and Rita Wilson.  He grew up to be a conscientious man who understood the importance of a strong work ethic and of having pride in a job well-done.  When he was blessed with children of his own, he passed these lessons onto them.

   In his younger years, Jerry enjoyed the thrill of riding bulls, and as he got older he turned to more relaxing pastimes such as birdwatching and tending his beloved roses.  He was also an avid fisherman and on Sundays could be found watching NASCAR on TV.  Jerry also liked spending time at the Wilson farm shooting gophers and watching Smokey play with the resident fox.  More than anything, Jerry loved spending time with his family and friends – when he was with them, he was truly happy.  He will be remembered with love and respect by all who knew him.    

   Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life are his children, Robert and Raegan and their mother, Christine; his sons, Tyler (Jamie), Jason and Troy; his seven grandchildren; his brother, Larry Wilson; his sisters, Brenda (Rich) Reed, Shirleyan (Ken) Rozniak, Wendy Wilson and Carol Wilson; as well as his extended family and many friends.

   He was predeceased by his father, Thomas Wilson and his mother, Rita Wilson (Née: Audibert).

   The Funeral Service will be held at Fantin’s Funeral Chapel (13461 – 20 Ave., Blairmore, AB T0K 0E0) on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 1:00pm.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions, only fifty people will be allowed to attend the service.  Please RSVP on the Fantin’s Funeral Chapel website if you plan to attend in person and masks are mandatory.  The Funeral Service will also be live-streamed through the Fantin’s website.  Please visit the website for more information regarding the live-stream.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be gratefully accepted by the Alzheimer Society – Lethbridge (#40 – 1202, 2 Ave. S., Lethbridge, AB T1J 0E3).  Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
