It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Scott Gettman on October 26, 2025, at the Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge, AB. He was 62 years of age.
Gary was born on March 5, 1963, in Blairmore, AB, and remained in the Crowsnest Pass his entire life. A true outdoorsman, Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, and 4x4ing, and he was also an avid hockey fan.
Above all else, Gary cherished his family and friends. He valued time spent with loved ones, whether gathered for a special occasion, or simply sharing stories and laughter. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life is his daughter, AmyLynn Gettman; his son, Brad (Lucy) Burton; his brother, Wayne (Darlene) Gettman; his granddaughter, Jayla Burton; his nephews, Justin Morgan (Jenna Andrus), Mitch Gettman and Eric Beaudoin; his niece, Darby Beaudoin; and many friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Albert “Skip” and Geraldine Gettman, and his sister, Cammie Morgan.
With respect for Gary’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be gratefully accepted by the Canadian Lung Association (www.lung.ca). Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
