Flemming Rygaard

   It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Flemming Rygaard on November 15, 2022 at the Foothills Medical Centre, Calgary, AB.  He was 84 years of age.

   Flemming was born in Pindstrup, Denmark on June 28, 1938.  He grew up to be a hardworking individual who had a strong sense of duty and commitment to responsibility.  These traits served him well in all aspects of his life, especially as a husband, father and as a proud member of the Air Force.  Along with his beloved wife, Gerda, Flemming emigrated to Canada in 1967, then settled in the Crowsnest Pass, AB in 1972.

   Over the years, Flemming enjoyed hunting and soccer, but his greatest love was his family.  He was proud of all of them, and he never missed an opportunity to spend time with them.  Flemming’s was a life well-lived, and he will live on in treasured memories.

   Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life is his wife, Gerda; his sons Claus (Lynnda) and Jan (Vicki); his grandchildren, Jeffrey Rygaard and Ashley Hayward; as well as his extended family and many friends.
