Eileen Elizabeth (Hulecki) Fisher

With broken hearts we announce the passing of Eileen Fisher of Hillcrest, AB on March 17, 2025.  She was 73 years of age.

Eileen was born in Blairmore, AB on January 17, 1952 and she remained in the Crowsnest Pass her entire life.  Here she made life-long friends and created a wonderful life with her soulmate, Ken Fisher.  Married on September 5, 1970, Eileen and Ken shared fifty-four years as husband and wife.  During this time, they raised a family, watched their family raise families of their own, and created countless precious memories.

Over the years, Eileen enjoyed crocheting, quilting, painting ceramics and playing fast ball, as well as being an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 19, Bellevue and the Hillcrest Miners’ Club.  In more recent years, she loved going for drives and camping, playing bingo, spending time with her dog, Panda, and, most of all, watching her grandchildren’s many activities.  Eileen had a kind, warm spirit that welcomed you in as soon as you met her.  Never one to judge, and always willing to lend an empathetic ear to anyone in need, she will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew her.

Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life is her husband, Ken Fisher of Hillcrest, AB; her children, Shane (Tara Spearns) Fisher of Hillcrest, AB and Jody Fisher of Cranbrook, BC; her step-children, Tim Fisher of Hillcrest, AB and Vicki (Ron) Yeske of Bellevue, AB; her grandchildren, Charlie-James “CJ” Fisher, Kendal Frenette, James Yeske and Jeremy (Anna) Yeske; her great-grandchildren, Chase, Olivia, Avery and Reid; as well as her extended family and many friends.  She was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Leon Hulecki.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the Bellevue Legion (2401 – 213 St. Bellevue, AB), followed by light refreshments and fellowship.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donation will be gratefully accepted by the Crowsnest Pass Health Foundation “Mental Health Program”.
