Alexx Borkowski

   With broken hearts we announce the passing of Alexx Borkowski on October 22, 2023.  He was only 31 years of age.

   Alexx was born in Sparwood, BC on March 24, 1992 to proud parents, Shona Borthwick and Barry Borkowski.  It was evident from an early age that he was an exceptionally caring, unique individual who possessed a true zest for life.  Alexx gained much joy from art, music, attending concerts and indulging in fine dining.  He was well-known for being a Star Wars aficionado, an ace Skyrim player, and for being the best-dressed person in any room.  More than anything, however, Alexx was known for being kind and thoughtful; always putting the needs of others before his own.  When he met Mikayla Jensen he met his soulmate, and together they lived life to the fullest.  Life is measured in memories, not years, and Alexx will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.          

   Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life is his partner, Mikayla Jensen; his mother, Shona Borthwick; his father, Barry Borkowski; his grandmothers, Ronnie Borthwick and Ailene Borkowski; his grandfather, Carl Anderson; his sisters, Heather Greer (Eldon Watson) and Skye Batchelor (Jake Rysz); his fur-babies, Jupiter, Pandora and Athena; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, extended family and many friends.

   He was predeceased by his grandfather, Hank Borthwick and his great-grandmother, Roberta Kuehn.
