Aaron Michael Stelmachovich

   Aaron Michael Stelmachovich was born at the Crowsnest Pass Hospital on July 23, 1973 to loving parents, Donna and Michael Stelmachovich.  He passed away suddenly, but peacefully at home on May 31, 2023 at the age of 49 years.

   Aaron grew up in Coleman, AB where he enjoyed skiing, riding his dirt bike and four-wheeling on his favorite mountain roads.  He loved to cook and his dishes of ginger beef, Singapore noodles, BBQ steak and ribs among others were second to none.  In his last years, he valiantly battled mental health issues; sometimes winning, other times losing.  He was a gentle and considerate person who loved his family, animals and especially his Scottie dogs.  Aaron will always be loved and remain forever in our hearts.

   He is survived by his parents, Donna and Michael; his brother Jason (Nina); his nephew, Andre; his aunt and uncle, Paulette and Bob Zak; his aunt, Sophie Perina; as well as many cousins and extended family.

   He was predeceased by his grandparents, Mary and Steve Rypien, and Mike and Mary Stelmachovich; his aunt and uncle, Eugenia and Alfred Brander; and his cousin, Robbie Zak.

   A private family visitation was held at Fantin’s Funeral Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be gratefully accepted by the Crowsnest Pass SPCA (PO Box 725 Blairmore, AB T0K 0E0), or by the charity of your choice.  Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
