MARYANNE VAN LOON-HARRIS

(April 12, 1960 – April 3, 2016)

It is with incredible sadness that we announce the passing of MaryAnne Van Loon-Harris of Lethbridge, AB on April 3, 2016.  She was 55 years old.

MaryAnne was born in Blairmore, AB on April 12, 1960 to proud parents, Benjamin “Buddy” and Edith Van Loon.  She was raised to cherish family and friends and to never take either for granted.  On July 18, 1992, MaryAnne married the love of her life, Brad Harris, and they were later blessed with two beautiful daughters.  Together, they raised them in a warm, loving home & made countless happy memories.

When not busy caring for her family or working, MaryAnne enjoyed sewing, baking, dancing and music, especially The Notorious B.I.G. and Pavarotti.  She also loved rodeo, horses and all animals, and her generous spirit was evident in the time she spent volunteering with the Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association.  More than anything, MaryAnne treasured her family.  She was devoted to them and was always available with advice, support and love.  She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life is her husband, Brad Harris; her daughters, Beatrice Harris (Jordan Grey) and Chey-Anne Harris; her brothers, Lee (Theresa) Van Loon, George (Randy) Van Loon and Bill Van Loon; her sister, Doris Van Loon; her nieces, Shelly Van Loon, Lee-Anne Van Loon (Peter Beaurgard) and Hailey Van Loon; her nephews, Billy (Cassandra) Van Loon, Benjamin Van Loon and Colin Van Loon; great nieces and nephews, Jay Cee, Abby, Rowdy, Tryin, Lydia, Liam, Tio and Ferrin; her cousins, John (Karen) Haluck, Robert Lee (Roxanne) Morin, John Haluck Jr. and Bonnie Lee; numerous cousins from the North Peigan family; as well as the many friends she made throughout her life.

She was predeceased by her parents, Benjamin “Buddy” and Edith; her sister, Amber; her grandmother, Beatrice Lee; and her aunt and uncle, Marg and Robert Morin.
