Lee Wiebe

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Leroy Weldon Wiebe on July 4, 2015 at the Crowsnest Pass Continuing Care Centre at the age of 74 years.
   Lee was born on August 9, 1940 to proud parents Alemeda and Nick Wiebe in Brooks, Alberta.  He was raised to be a kind, caring, hard-working individual; lessons he never forgot.
   Over the years, Lee served in the Air Force, worked as a computer technician and, most recently, enjoyed working at the Crowsnest Pass Golf and Country Club.  In his free time, he could be found watching the Toronto Blue Jays or Edmonton Oilers, golfing (if the weather was good!), being an active member of the Blairmore Legion, or spending time with his furry friends, Dusty and Cody whom he affectionately called “his boys”.  Lee also loved the time he spent wintering in Sunlakes, Arizona with his loving partner, Joan.  He was a good person and a wonderful friend.  He will be greatly missed.
   Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life are his beloved partner, Joan Squarek of Hillcrest; Steve & Beverly Squarek of Coleman, Kevin Squarek of Calgary; his grandchildren, Michael & Miranda Squarek of Pincher Creek, Michelle & Kelly Hardy of Lethbridge; his great grandchildren; and his special friends, Frank & Carol Capron.
   He was predeceased by his parents, Alemeda & Nick Wiebe; his brother, Norm; and his sister, Shirley.
   With respect for Lee’s wishes, no funeral services will be held.  Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.  Donations in memory of Lee will be gratefully accepted by the Crowsnest Pass Continuing Care Centre (P. O. Box 510, Bag 1, Blairmore, AB T0K 0E0).
