John Gabriel Gaydos

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Gabriel Gaydos of the Crowsnest Pass, Alberta, who succumbed to illness at the CNP Health Care Centre on September 30, 2015 at the age of 81 years.

   John was born in Bellevue, AB on August 18, 1934 to proud parents, Ethel and Carl Gaydos.  He grew up amongst the beauty of the Crowsnest Pass and appreciating all that the area has to offer.  As a young man, he met the love of his life, Rosanna Giacchetta.  The happy couple was joined in holy matrimony on April 4, 1959 and went on to be blessed with four wonderful sons.

   John enjoyed fishing, puttering around his yard and shop, and attending accordion festivals, but most of all, he cherished time shared with his family.  He was a kind, loving gentleman who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

   Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life include his wife, Rosanna Gaydos (nee: Giacchetta) of Blairmore, AB; his children, Tim (Lisa Jones) Gaydos, Colin (Szejn) Gaydos and Jonathan Gaydos; his four-legged grand-puppies, Jazz and Cooper; his brother-in-law, Tony (Ginette) Giachetta; as well as his extended family and the many friends he made throughout his lifetime.

   He was predeceased by his parents, Ethel and Carl Gaydos; his stepfather, Leslie Tisoski; and his son, Christopher Gaydos.

   The Funeral Mass will be held at the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church (13126 – 21 Ave., Blairmore) on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Ben Marino as Celebrant.  Interment to follow at the Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.

   In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John Gaydos will be gratefully accepted by the Canadian Diabetes Association.  Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
