Welcome to the memorial page for

Jennifer Margaret Manitowabie

May 20, 1958 ~ April 6, 2017 (age 58) 58 Years Old

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Jenny Manitowabie on April 6, 2017 at the age of 58 years.

Jenny was born on May 20, 1958 in Blind River, Ontario.  From a very young age, she learned to appreciate family and to always be compassionate toward others.  She never forgot these lessons, and lived by them her entire life.

Jenny was an incredibly kind and generous person who didn’t hesitate to help someone in need and who was “Jenny-Mom” to many.  She made sure no one ever went hungry, even if it meant delivering meals to a person’s home.  When she wasn’t busy taking care of her family and friends, Jenny enjoyed camping and watching talk shows like Jerry Springer and crime dramas on television.  She also liked to have a social drink at the Bellevue Inn or Legion where her friendly nature could shine through while visiting with her friends.  Above all else, Jenny treasured her family, especially her grandchildren and great granddaughter – they were her pride and joy.  Her loving spirit will be greatly missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.

Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life is her longtime partner, Ron Price “Mr. Big” of Bellevue, AB; her children, Su (Trevor James) Manitowabie, Ken Manitowabie, Alicia (David Mosby) Manitowabie and John Manitowabie; her grandchildren, Tabitha, JP, Mackenzie, David Jr., Daxson, Lucas, Keelie, Kyra, Lana and Nova; her great granddaughter, Aurora; many nieces, nephews and extended family in Ontario; as well as the many friends she made throughout her life.

She was predeceased by her son, JP “Puddy” Manitowabie of Angus, ON; her brother Ken Manitowabie formerly of Edmonton, AB; and the father of her children, Emery Bealieu.

The Memorial Service honoring Jenny’s life will be held at Fantin’s Funeral Chapel (13461 – 20 Ave., Blairmore, AB) on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 1:00 pm.  Memorial donations will be gratefully accepted by the charity of your choice.  Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfunerlachapel.ca.
