It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jim Arsenault on November 2, 2015 at the age of 67 years.
James Albert Arsenault was born in Searletown, Prince Edward Island on January 8, 1948 to proud parents, Frances and Fred Arsenault. He was raised to embrace life and enjoy every moment you are given. On May 12, 1979, Jim married the love of his life, Turid Sivertsen, and in 1994 they settled in the Crowsnest Pass.
Jim had many talents and hobbies including reading, cooking and woodcarving, and his love of meeting people & socializing was apparent in his penchant for travelling and his involvement in the “Brothers of the Third Wheel” trike club. Jim’s unique sense of humour as well as his kind, accepting and free-spirited nature will be deeply missed and forever remembered by everyone who was fortunate enough to know him.
Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life are his beloved wife, Turid Arsenault of Bellevue, AB; his family; and the countless friends he made throughout his life.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frances and Fred Arsenault.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will take place at Pure Country Bar and Grill (14821 – Highway 3, Frank, AB) on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 2:00pm. In light of Jim’s appreciation for a good joke, Turid welcomes humorous and naughty cards in his honour. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jim will be gratefully accepted by the Association for Injured Motorcyclists (www.aimvancouver.com) or the Heart & Stroke Foundation (207, 542 – 7 St. S., Lethbridge, AB T1J 2H1).
