It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helen MacPhail of Blairmore, AB at the Crowsnest Pass Health Care Centre on January 10, 2016 at almost 95 years of age.
Throughout her life, Helen enjoyed gardening, painting, golfing and participating in sewing circles. She also found camaraderie and fulfillment through her involvement in the Royal Purple, and spent many contented hours corresponding with her family and friends both near and far.
Helen was a determined lady whose family always came first. She willingly made countless sacrifices over the years in order to ensure that they were well cared for. Her selfless, loving nature will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life are her devoted sons, Bruce (Sherry) MacPhail and Brent (Penny) MacPhail; her grandchildren, Mathew (Helena LaPointe) MacPhail, Scott (Karyn Smith) MacPhail and Tanya (Lee) Crowe; her great grandchildren, Briar and Talyn; her sister-in-law, Dolores Risler of Lethbridge, AB; her extended family; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as her special friend, Sheri Rosler.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon; her cherished daughter, Leslie MacPhail; and her siblings.
