It is with sadness that we announce that, after a brief battle with cancer, Frank McDonald of Blairmore, AB passed away at the Crowsnest Pass Health Care Centre on February 11, 2017 at the age of 67 years.
William Frank Commisso McDonald was born in Blairmore, AB on February 10, 1950. He was raised to be a loving person and to appreciate all that life had to offer. He held fast to those lessons his entire life and continued to put the needs and feelings of others before his own until the very end.
Frank enjoyed cooking, and was well known as a talented baker and cake decorator. He made friends everywhere he went and was always smiling. All who knew him will miss his kind, cheerful spirit.
Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life are his brothers, Wayne McDonald, Ray (Joyce) Smith, Clem Smith and Lynn (Bruce) Tyres; sixteen nieces and nephews; thirty-five great nieces and nephews; as well as many close friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Lexie McDonald; his stepbrother, Harold K. Smith; and his niece, Cheryl Smith.
With respect for Frank’s wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. Memorial donations will be gratefully accepted by the Crowsnest Pass Health Foundation (P. O. Box 455, Blairmore, AB). Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
