Eileen Marian (Chikinda) Parker

Eileen Parker, loving Mother, Grandmother and Aunt passed away on June 8, 2017 at the
age of 86 years. Eileen was born in Calgary Alberta on Oct 10, 1930 to Francis and
Mitchell Chikinda. On June 5, 1954 she married George Parker. They had two daughters,
Sheila and Kim. Eileen and George lived in Calgary until they retired to Mill Bay B.C. in
1984. They enjoyed fishing, gardening and visits from family and friends. Eileen loved
painting, drawing, cooking and baking. She watched sports of all kinds. After the death of
her husband George, she moved back to Alberta in 2008 and lived in Canmore, AB, later  
relocating to Calgary. Family was the center of Eileen’s circle and she enjoyed cooking
for them and visiting with them often. Eileen took interest in all people she met, was a
true friend to many. Eileen is survived by her two daughters and son in laws, Sheila and
Rick Stephens, Kim and Ted Findlay, Grandchildren Christopher and Katey Findlay and
special niece and her husband Sherry and Dave Hughes along with many friends. She
will be missed by all but never forgotten! Eileen is predeceased by her parents Francis
and Mitchell Chikinda, sister and brother-in-law Nadia and Mike Shymanski, and
husband George Parker. No memorial service will be held at the request of Eileen. If
friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the SPCA or the
