(1969-2016)

   It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Danielle Angela Matthews, formerly of Pincher Creek, Alberta, who died on July 1, 2016 while receiving care at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary at the tender age of 46 years.

   Danielle was born on November 4, 1969 in Drumheller, Alberta and was raised by loving parents Vince & Onez Matthews.  She grew to be a beautiful and inquisitive young girl who did well in school and made many friends.  She had many talents and interests including figure skating, tending her garden, camping with her family, cooking and making preserves and most of all socializing with her diverse group of friends.  Danielle was also blessed with two sons whom she cherished and loved unconditionally.

   She had many accomplishments in her life as well as many trials and failures which molded her character and brought her wisdom and sometimes pain but her heart was golden and caring and we will miss her dearly and remember her fondly.  May she rest in the peace of our Lord and find happiness in heaven.

   She leaves to mourn her beloved sons, Darcey Batycki of Revelstoke, BC and Brenden Ward of Abbotsford, BC; her devoted parents, Vince & Onez Matthews of Pincher Creek, AB; her precious grandson; her brother, Farron Matthews of Lethbridge, AB; her sister, Leanne (Howard) Ewashen of Dogpound, AB; her aunt, Colleen Matthews; her uncle, Stanley Matthews; her cousins, Shane Matthews, Nadawn Matthews and Aaron Matthews; and her extended family and many friends.

   She was predeceased by her grandparents, Irma & Clarence Carlson and Mary Matthews; her uncles, Larry Carlson and Hank Matthews; her aunt, Blanche Pelletier; and cousin, Troy Matthews.

   A Memorial Service honouring Danielle’s memory will be held in Revelstoke, BC at a later date.  Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
