Craig Brian Decoux

   Craig was born on February 22, 1976 in Calgary, AB to proud parents, Brian and Elaine Decoux.  Throughout his entire life, Craig was a hard worker, generous and genuinely kind to strangers and friends.  He could never refuse a person in need and didn’t like to complain because he felt blessed to have such a wonderful family, neighbors and friends.

   Craig received many awards, but most honored was being recognized as an individual who inspired other people. (Norm Macleod Award, Alberta Centennial Medal) Although well deserved, he maintained his modesty and hard work ethic.  He was called from this world far too early and although our hearts ache in sorrow, we are proud to have shared in his life, his love and his memories.  May he rest in peace.

 Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life include his cherished mother: Elaine Decoux of Blairmore; his sister, Angie (Myles Hanson) Decoux of Calgary; his grandmother Ivy Smith of Sask, his uncle/aunt Tony (Lois) Roberts & family of Sundre; his uncle/cousins in the McDonald Clan, his uncle Dave Decoux of Nisku & his extended family, as well as the many close friends, most especially Norm (Sharon) Hanson, Paul (Shari) Rose, James (Carolyn) Hobson, and of course his canine companion, Jake.

   He was predeceased by his father, Brian Decoux; his brother, Jimmy Decoux and his Aunt Verna McDonald.

   The Memorial Service celebrating Craig’s life will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Fantin's Funeral Chapel (13461-20 Avenue) Blairmore, AB.  Donations in memory of the late Craig Decoux may be made to the CN Community Support Society (Box 507, Coleman, AB T0K 0M0).  Condolences may be registered at www.fantinsfuneralchapel.ca.
