Bev R. Steele

   Bev was born on April 11, 1939 in Tisdale, Saskatchewan to proud parents, Joseph & Helen Steele.   His childhood was full of fun and adventure and he carried that same spirit throughout his entire life.  In his youth, Bev loved going hunting with his grandmother. He became an avid hunter due to her, and explored the mountainous backcountry while camping, fishing and boating; he loved the outdoors.  Bev was a modest and hard working person who admired honesty and self-sacrifice in people.  He was a generous and giving person.  He would help anyone in need and always said, “ Be generous with your time and be compassionate with others in need.  Enjoy what you have and don’t take so much for granted.”  Bev was a member of various gun clubs such as the Dryden Rifle and Pistol club and he was an excellent marksman.  He was an inspiration to all who knew him and he will be dearly missed. 

  Bev is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Steele of Hillcrest, AB; his sister-in-law, Fran Steele of Victoria, BC; his treasured cats, Paddy and Blackie; his extended family and the many friends he made throughout his life.

   He was predeceased by his parents, Roy and Helen Steele; his brothers, Harry Steele, Fred Steele and Bill Steele; his infant sister; and his special feline friend, Bandit.

   A Gathering of Family and Friends honouring Bev’s life will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 4:00-6:00 pm at Fantin's Funeral Chapel in Blairmore, AB (13461-20Avenue).
