Welcome to the memorial page for

Annie Kathleen (Tuckwood) Gatzky

November 20, 1941 ~ August 11, 2017 (age 75) 75 Years Old

It is with incredible sadness that we announce the passing of Annie Gatzky of Bellevue, AB at the Chinook Regional Hospital, Lethbridge, AB on August 11, 2017.  She was 75 years of age.

Annie was born in Wayne, AB on November 20, 1941 to loving parents, Robert and Jessie Tuckwood.  Along with her siblings, she was raised to be a caring, hardworking individual.  In January 1962, Annie married, and in 1967 moved to the Crowsnest Pass to create a home for her children.

Annie loved spending time in the outdoors gardening and camping, and also enjoyed reading, playing bingo, watching curling and baking.  She had a way of making everyone around her feel special.  This was evident in the loving way she cared for seniors, and by the quality time she spent with her family and friends.  Annie’s pride and dedication to her community was well known and demonstrated by her longtime involvement with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 19 Bellevue where she was a member since 1970, served as Olympic Honourary Guard in 1988, was President of the Ladies’ Auxiliary from 2006 – 2012, and held a seat on the current Branch Historic Committee.  Annie’s passionate, benevolent spirit will deeply missed and forever remembered.

Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life are her devoted children, Darlene (Gord) Agar of Unity, SK, Ed (Heather) Gatzky of Lethbridge, AB, Tom (Cheryl) Gatzky of Fort MacLeod, AB, Barb (Warren) Gallamore of Lethbridge, AB and John (Dana) Gatzky of Lethbridge, AB; her cherished grandchildren, Mark and Aaron Agar, Courtney, Breanne and Brock Gatzky, Kassandra and TJ Gatzy, Tyce, Tarren and Sheh Gallamore, Connor Gatzky and Roman Crobar; her precious great grandchildren, Davin, Westin and Holly Agar, and Knox and Sarah Agar; her dear brothers, Robin Tuckwood of Tracy CA, Al Tuckwood of Fort Saskatchewan, AB and Tony (Zola) Tuckwood of Coleman, AB; her loving sister Eleanor (Mike) Favero of Coleman; as well as countless friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, Jessie and Robert Tuckwood; her brother, Doug Tuckwood; and her sisters, Evelyn Noble and Pat LaPorte.

The Memorial Service celebrating Annie’s life will take place at Fantin’s Funeral Chapel (13461, 20 Ave., Blairmore, AB) on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11:00am.  Memorial donations will be gratefully accepted by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 19 Bellevue (P.
